Naw its not cardboard and did happen to come in quite handy MANY times. When mortar rounds were going off they would only tear holes in the gear mounted to the HMMWV and pop tires, never punctured the up-armor. Now, with the IEDs, that was a whole nother animal. Those F@#$ers would burry 100mm artillary rounds, or 200-500lbs bombs along side or in the middle of the road and they would tare those vehicles apart like tin cans in a schredder. Nasty dangerous place that was. Glad I came home un skathed only to get hit by a car and darn near loose my leg, would have too had they not found a pulse when they flipped me over. But I am alive and living my life so all is good in my world. I hope to get more folks on the site. Oh and BTW Larry, I tried downloading this on my Black Berry and it would not load propperly, it was missing pics, text etc.
Dude I was thinking the same thing when I was on here last night. I was not sure if you were THE Daryl. Remember that one practice we had that I had come from my drill weekend and was still in my cammies and how I had to leave the band to go to Iraq? well I have some pics of that shit hole up on my page check em out, I have MANY more where that came from.
